WHERE ARE ORI SYSTEMS AVAILABLE?
The product is initially available for order directly from us, for delivery in select cities in the US and Canada, and we’re adding new cities all the time! Sign up through our pre-order page and we’ll let you know expected timing for availability in your area.
WILL ORI BE AVAILABLE OUTSIDE OF THE U.S. AND CANADA?
The product is not currently available outside of the US and Canada, but we acknowledge that the need for new urban solutions is a global challenge. That is why we're working hard to bring Ori to other countries in the near future.

HOW MUCH DOES THE ORI SYSTEM COST?
We’re currently only selling to large-scale development companies so we do not have pricing for an individual system just yet. Stay posted and be the first to know when we release this information.
DO YOU OFFER FINANCING?
Great question and the short answer is that we plan to, but currently are not offering financing for the initial product run.
IS THERE A STANDARD OR EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH MY ORI SYSTEM?
Yes, both. Every Ori System is backed by a full five-year warranty for all physical components, and we also offer an optional 5-year "Total Service Program" all-inclusive service solution. A detailed warranty summary is provided upon consultation.

WHAT ABOUT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS? IS ORI UL CERTIFIED?
Yes! Ori has passed UL’s rigorous testing protocol and is now UL Certified.
WHAT HAPPENS IF ORI BUMPS INTO SOMETHING?
Ori systems know when they hit something unexpected, like a person or a piece of furniture. It automatically stops with minimal force.

HOW DO I INSTALL AN ORI SYSTEM?
We handle everything for you, from shipping and handling all the way through installation. You don’t have to lift a finger.
HOW BIG IS AN ORI SYSTEM?
An Ori Full system’s smallest footprint is 58.9” x 93.5”, and largest footprint is 114.3” x 93.5”. An Ori Queen system’s smallest footprint is 64.9” x 93.5”, and largest footprint is 125.5” x 93.5”.
HOW MUCH SPACE DOES AN ORI SYSTEM NEED?
Ori systems can be customized into two configurations that work for different size spaces. The “private” configuration (bed behind wall) fits in spaces ~14’ x ~11’, and the “reverse” configuration (bed in front of wall) requires a bit less at ~11’ x ~11’.
IS ANY CONSTRUCTION NEEDED, OR WILL THE SYSTEM JUST WORK WITH MY EXISTING CONDO, APARTMENT OR LOFT?
The Full & Queen Ori Systems only have two attachment points to the apartment: a linear track that gets taped to the hard floor, and a conventional AC plug connection.
HOW DOES IT GET WIRED IN FOR POWER?
A standard 15/20A circuit will work to power the system. The system has a 120W AC/DC power supply internally and multiple 120VAC outlets on board to power a TV, chargers, etc. When moving, these systems consume about a tenth of the power of what a blow-dryer consumes.
HOW DO I SET UP MY ORI FOR THE FIRST TIME?
When your Ori is installed, it’s set up so the light dimmer, push arrows, and bed button will all be ready to use. To further customize your Ori living experience, download the Ori app to set up the preset modes. The living room, bedroom, and closet preset modes allow you to program the ideal location of your Ori for different room functions, and autonomously move there upon command.

HOW DO I CONTROL ORI?
There are 3 different ways to control Ori:
- The Ori Square on the side of the system. Wave your hand in front of the Square or push the Ori logo to wake it up.
- iPhone or Android app. You need to connect your Ori system to your WiFi network to access this functionality.
- Voice control via Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa (e.g., "OK Google, ask Ori to create my bedroom" or "Alexa, ask Ori to turn off the lights"). You need to connect your Ori system to your WiFi network through the Ori app to access this functionality and have Google Assistant and/or Alexa capabilities in your home.
WHY SHOULD I DOWNLOAD THE APP?
A few reasons!
- Only through the app are you able to customize your Ori presets to unlock the “living room”, "bedroom", and “closet” modes that are available on the Square.
- Once you’ve set the room presets, the app acts as a remote control. You can ask your Ori to switch room modes from anywhere!
- Should something go wrong, having your system connected to the app helps us to diagnose the issue more quickly.
WHAT ARE ORI ROOM PRESETS?
When your Ori is first installed, the basic controls are enabled (left and right arrows, light dimmer, and bed in/out). To further customize your Ori experience, you can use the “Preset Modes” to automatically send Ori to predetermined bedroom, living room, and closet settings.
HOW DO I ACTIVATE MY ORI ROOM PRESETS?
You need to use the Ori app to set up your room preset modes (available in the app store for iPhone and Android). You will need WiFi in order to connect your Ori to your app. The app setup process will walk you through the steps to customize your Ori’s presets. If at any time you want to change your preset settings, press and long hold the icons on the app like you did when you first set them up.
HOW DO I CONNECT ORI WITH GOOGLE ASSISTANT OR AMAZON ALEXA?
With Google Assistant, say “Hey Google, talk to Ori”. Then follow the instructions in the Google Home app to connect to your Ori account. Use the username and password you created when first downloading the Ori app.
To connect with Amazon Alexa, you can either say “Alexa, activate Ori” or search for the Ori skill in the Alexa app. Then follow the instructions on the Alexa app to connect to your Ori account. Use the username and password you created when first downloading the Ori app.
WHAT KIND OF PRODUCTS WORK WITH MY ORI?
Mattress: Any standard Full or Queen size mattress works with Ori! It’s recommended that you use a mattress no thicker than 8-10”, so there’s enough room for your pillows to stay on the bed while it disappears. A thicker mattress will fit, but you may need to move pillows before closing. TV: TVs up to 50” will generally fit; depending on the size of the TV stand, dimensions should be no bigger than 48” x 29”. Flooring: Hardwood, Engineered Wood, or Vinyl
HOW CAN I HOOK UP CABLE TV?
We recommend having a wireless HDMI setup to avoid weaving a cable through the system.
+ ORI TROUBLESHOOTING
What if the power goes out?
Great question! If the power goes out, the system will automatically shift into manual mode. You can move your Ori manually with a push or pull until the power comes back on. When the power comes back on, make sure it’s plugged in, and follow these steps to help Ori relearn its position:
- The arrows will be alternately flashing when powered.
- If the bed is out, press the bed button to move it in.
- Using the arrows, move the Ori towards the center of the Track until you hear a ringing tone. Ori will automatically remember its position and its presets.

The Square doesn't light up when I wave near the Square or press the Ori logo - help!
Double check that your Ori is securely plugged in and the power isn’t out. If those are both normal, contact Ori via the Ori app for personalized support. In the meantime, your Ori can always be unplugged and moved manually.
MY BED WON’T MOVE BUT THE BED ICON STILL LIGHTS UP – HELP!
If the bed icon is flashing, contact Ori via the Ori app for personalized support. In the meantime, your Ori can always be unplugged and moved manually. If the bed icon is not flashing, and it emits a quick mechanical noise when you press the bed icon, check that no pillows, comforters, or sheets are stuck. Gently pull your bedding away from the lower parts of the bed. If it’s really stuck, try unplugging your system and pulling the bed out manually to remove the items from the bed’s path.
MY BED WON’T MOVE AND THE BED ICON DOESN’T LIGHT UP – HELP!
If the rest of the Square doesn’t light up, follow the instructions for “The Square Doesn’t Light Up…” above. If the rest of the Square does light up, contact Ori support.
HOW DO I GET MY SYSTEM INTO SETUP MODE?
Hold the left and right arrows until you hear a ringing tone, then remove your hands from the interface without touching the buttons. The Square lighting should be fading in and out. If you’re still having trouble getting into setup mode, contact Ori via the Ori app for personalized support.
MY IPHONE CONNECTS TO THE SYSTEM BUT SAYS “INTERNET UNAVAILABLE” – HELP!
First, try forgetting the Ori network and put your phone in airplane mode. Make sure the Square lighting is still fading in and out, then try connecting to the Ori network again. If this doesn’t work, make sure you have downloaded the latest version of iOS. If all else fails, contact Ori via the Ori app for personalized support.
MY ANDROID WON’T CONNECT TO THE SYSTEM – HELP!
Try unplugging and plugging in your Ori system, then try following the instructions in the app again. If that doesn’t work, make sure your smart network switch is off (this can be found in your WiFi settings). Then unplug and plug in your Ori system and again follow the instructions in the app. If you’re still having trouble, contact Ori via the Ori app for personalized support.
